straight outta compton

was looking forward, but filled with clichés and no illumination. Who were these guys, what made them special/ how DID they get outta compton? or better what does the violence they reflect/describe/ sometimes seem to encourage mean in terms of race/class/place? Instead we get some stuff about contracts, and a terribly superficial nod to AIDS/race etc, almost laughably ticked off rather than explored. rubbish.
