Would it be possible to have one of those little boxes to check, whereby one is notified of further replies to a topic or thread?
Just a thought...

you can do this if you go into user control panel and subscribe to a forum or tick a box saying something like email when reply...

actually just scroll down, when you post, there is a box saying "notify me when a reply is posted"
