It seems to have filtered out a lot of the silly or anonymous posts, and may have lost some traffic for that (?) that, and the fact that all posts are not visible on the homepage, as they used to be. But there's far greater flexibility for writing, linking, previewing and submitting posts, so on the whole I think it's better.
