Jasper Joffe once told me that out of all of the friends I'd introduced him to over the years it was Derek Jordan that he had the most affection for. Like me, Derek has worked at Tate Britain for over a decade. He often helps people who works there with their art projects and has been known to sing and perform at live events.
Julian Wakeling and I recently wrote a song called "Everybody is Somebody's Fool". We're both pleased with the song. It was made better by the fact Paul Speare (of Dexys) added a superb sax solo and we were lucky that Derek helped us by agreeing to sing the song and appear in our video.
