New Delhi: Art lovers, connoisseurs, collectors, artists and all those with a creative bent of mind, interested in enjoying and living with art, will be thrilled to visit Art Positive, a part of the Bajaj Capital Art House, in its bigger and even better avatar. The gallery has been redesigned to add another floor of gallery space within its fold with state of the art facilities to house a more spacious art book café as well as an artefacts store besides a much larger art gallery space spread across two floors in the same location at Lado Sarai, Delhi’s latest and trendy art district.
With its space and services enhanced and refurbished and its website…revamped and refreshed, the gallery is poised to take off on an exciting and varied programme of exhibitions and art events. Its re-launch show with an intriguing title wtf or what’s in the factory? is an exhibition of some exciting new work by Haribaabu Naatesan, the first winner of BCAH art award. The show will start on August 11, 2011 to coincide with the launch and continue till September 15, 2011. His in- your-face personified art works that bring art design craft and technology in an interface, is a must see show. While wtf will be displayed on one floor, the other floor will showcase Art Spotting II, with new works by some twenty young artists from across the country, including the two who have won this year’s BCAH fellowship award.
The logbook planned for the rest of year, is also filled with a range of stimulating shows including some solos and curated group exhibitions including our annual show Devotion to celebrate our Vth anniversary in September 2011. Our other exhibition plans include showcasing of critically acclaimed original artistic expressions in all genres – paintings, drawings and sculptures as well as photographs, ceramics, architectural forms, installations, digital art, videos, conceptual art, site specific works, mixed media and performance art by established and emerging artists. There will also be some theme focused exhibitions and the details of these will be announced in due course.
The programme follows and takes a step ahead on our work over the recent years that included a very comprehensive and large group exhibition of contemporary Indian art Annanya held across three venues in the city simultaneously in 2008, ‘Beyond the Form’ exhibition that we also took to Mumbai in 2009, Convergence in 2010 that brought artists and fashion designers in an interface and Form & Formless held earlier this year amongst others. Our workshops in painting and photography have been great hit with young learners while the talks by guest experts on care and conservation of art works and the art of fashion were appreciated greatly by the select group of invitee collectors.

Our revamped enhanced and easy to access website will also feature an online show every month besides sharing with you a series of new arrivals on a regular basis. Information about the our regular programme of exhibitions will be uploaded regularly to keep you informed, while the collectors will be able to see and select works on line to add those they like to their collections.

The idea behind enhancing Art Positive is to make your visit to the art space a more enjoyable and positive, more inclusive and worthwhile experience. You are invited to meet friends and like-minded people and have a chat over a cup of specially made coffee or browse through the latest book on art from our incredible collection on display, in a creative and comfortable ambience. And you could also at the same time and space, enjoy looking at and collect high quality art works and artefacts across the price range and sourced from around the country, on an open display there, if you so wish.
And Art Positive gallery also continues to take forward its initiative offering art advisory services to its clients, collectors and art connoisseurs and those associated with its parent company Bajaj Capital. With a panel of internationally renowned experts on its advisory committee the gallery has already helped design several personal and corporate collections and portfolios of authenticated and high quality works of art, sourced directly from the artists at most economical prices.

Besides all this, Art Positive is also open to sharing its additional gallery space, beautifully designed and fully equipped with state of the art facilities for high quality art exhibitions, with other interested galleries, artists and art connoisseurs on rental basis.

To sum it up, Art Positive, now in its enhanced space is an art and cultural hub where you can look out for and get access to an exciting new range of art exhibitions, regular online shows, art education initiatives, personalized portfolios as well as advice on buying, selection, display, insurance, handling, care and conservation of art and much more.
