Join a library they have free books, and you can browse them in real life.

A Love Out of Nothing/Sohara’s Journey by Barbara Honigmann, a writer I had never heard of were pretty good, post war Jewish life from a woman's angle which is quite different from a lot of male writers I have read on the subject.

The Emigrants by W.G. Sebald, a writer who was vogueish a decade ago was a sad enjoyable reread. He draws you in like a dream, and you finish up clutching at shadows. I wonder if he is still read in art schools.
