Posted: Tue Oct 18, 2011 4:08 pmnot as great as london train, somehow the postwar setting is tedious like all those borefests set in the past beloved of the contemporary novelist. it all comes together for a good last 1/4. though the writing is also less pellucid than other hadleys.
