Alone In Berlin.

Written in 1947 by a geezer who was there so I guess the depiction of the relentlessly grim, paranoid misery of everyday life in Berlin during the war is a faithful representation. A good yarn which out1984s 1984 about the little guy saying fuck you to the man even though the man has secret police, torture and the law on his side. Thumbs up.
