Extra Linking Options?
Posted: Tue Dec 11, 2012 7:42 amThis is probably a forlorn wish - and unlikely to benefit anyone other than myself, admittedly - but other blogging sites like Wordpress and Blogger.com have in recent times upgraded their webware to allow bloggers the option of linking to items so that these then open in a separate window. In straight HTML I think this is fairly straightforward - but within the phpBB system, not so.
The benefit is that you can keep your initial page open and click on a link and see what it is, in a separate window, whereas with the system we have now - we go to a new page via a link - see if it's interesting - and then have to click or return to the WWR page to read the rest of a post or whatever. What I was wondering is if you could suggest this option to PHPBB? There may be some small adjustment they can make or explain how you can make it - to WWR?
