The day is balmy. .Excited by the facebook furore.. j jones says genius ...m.collings not so much...I venture south to see tracey emin in bermondsey. I always get lost there... Even with gps I turn wrong but at least site montys deli allegedly the home of londons best pastrami. But what's the competition. I wasn't hungry anyway. On bermondsey street all the bougy cafes have punny names ..eg fuckoffee a coffee shop. White cube is humming. A few well heeled frieze refugees among the hoi polloi. I am a tracey fan of sorts. . Pre thatcherite turn. But the paintings drawings and sculptures here have little merit. The only vaguely interesting question is how so much attention and space can be devoted to so very little. The naked empress.
