Veronese at the National Gallery

Veronese show is wonderful. It's upstairs not in the basement Sainsburys, and the paintings breathe in light filtering in from above. Also it wasn't busy. Veronese is one of the great painting naturals, both flicking painting ala Velasquez, Titian etc, and playing with space ala Tintoretto, Tiepolo et al. It's a glorious thing great painting, and in large quantities intoxicating.

It's always great when it's not crowded. :)
