So so outing from Sasnal, as usual the paintings look more fun to do than look at. Yeah we get the usual ambiguities of space, scale etc balancing the photographic against the painterly, but uh.... at a certain point... we don't really care.

I guess what we want is more soul, more substance this far into a career but Sasnal is stuck in stand-up, one-liner mode.
