Sterling Ruby @ Hauser&Wirth, Savile Row

I haven’t really looked at Ruby’s stuff for 5-6 years so he might have moved on a bit but my impression was that this show was a bit lite, a bit safe, compared with earlier things. I know he’s versatile and everything but I think the show ought to have encompassed more of his scope. Maybe the bigger, heavier things were too expensive to bring to London. The sub-Rauschenberg/Schwitters collages really didn’t do it for me. :(
