BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORING. If you show me another show like this I will give up on installation art. Empty frames with musuem labels. Hay in the upper gallery. Oh dear, oh dear. Where is visual art?

You think Elfhead and Dragster are bad try Ian Kiaer @ Alison Jacques. For sheer tediuos installationist sophistry, Kiaer is hard to beat. This is the new academia. If you want to know what the equivalent of a Sir Lawrence Alma-Tadema would look like today, this is the kind of smug, swatish exercise in coy and frankly pointless allusion that fills the bill.

Ian - kill yourself.

Alison - Please! Get a grip!

seems a bit harsh on old Ian, he was at college with me and is a good sincere intelligent chap. But agreed the minimalism and dirty rag aesth. get on my nerves too. it seems to sayL: arent I important because there's nothing much to see.
