Translating classical paintings into photographs and compositing them into 3D or Autocad spaces comes across as predictably crass. I understand old Dickie's fascination with the technology (I too am a sucker for digital shit) but this is not covering up the fact that the late great Hamsie was kind of limited when it came to painting.
