I hate to be neg, but this was really uninspiring. Little brown figurative paintings with quirky bits. You've got to make a living, but why not mix it up a little. There is a lot of this round, it's a sort of conservative contemporary art, paintings which look like painting but with some twist. That's all we can handle. They are hung as though they might be very important and meaningful, ie with lots of space around them. There are so many cliches in cont art, as in all periods, and Orr is no more guilty than most, but you do just want to scream.

And as for Chelsea Zaharczuk's PR (I presume she's responsible for the clunky PDF) - anyone who uses 'reference' as a verb in this country deserves to be publicly flogged. :evil:
