Norman Rockwell at THE DULWICH PICTURE GALLERY

Postby jasperjoffe » Sun Mar 27, 2011 12:45 pm

Rockwell attracted the Saturday crowds to Dulwich picture gallery, mostly old and well off, they were not marching anywhere except to a lovely little cafe for a cappucino. Rockwell was a decent illustrator in a way which defines cliched Americana. End of story. Stupid people think they are really good because they are very detailed and realistic (like photos). Go look at the great Rubens sketches if you want to see some art.
