Jan Gossaet's Renaissance at The National Gallery London

Dunno about the title. It's kind of like Ross Kemp's Renaissance. You think what?!?

The show was empty which was good for me and bad for the NG. It was kinda boring but also kinda interesting if you hung round a while and adjusted to the awkward nudes and nicely coloured in portraits. I can't remember why I enjoyed it, maybe a little painting of a bird, the way he articutated penises and bulgy vaginas, a general feeling of peace in the National's basement, of looking at some quite nice paintings by a guy I hadn't even heard of.

Recommended.
