An odd little show by the grand old Californian master, featuring discarded mattresses around L.A. It sounds like the kind of thing he once would have documented with photographs in a little booklet but these days he turns the photos into
pencil and wash drawings for some reason. They work. He still has a great eye for a telling subject. The mattresses could stand for all sorts of things about people in cities. They don't really suggest a particular pictorial medium.
