I become a stringer for ARTCRITICAL.com

After writing this comment on a review of Terry Winters, the editor of the website, David Cohen emailed me (comments are moderated and you have to include your email in the comments form) and asked who was using the tag CAP, since the comments impressed him. I explained I have a kind of profile as a compulsive blogger/commentator using that tag and he published it and offered me a job as a foreign correspondent for the well-respected New York-based site. David also writes for the New York Sun I think.

It only involves a couple of pieces a year, I forget exactly how regularly, and for not much more than an honorarium. But in light of my experience with Garageland, I'm already nervous about editorial intervention. Whatever! If it doesn't work out, it doesn't work out. No big deal. It's the web after all.

well done! always thought you deserved a bigger audience. Although wwr is getting something like a million hits a year, i fear a vast percentage are the spammers.

Ha ha joke seems to be on me!
Subsequently I emailed DC about JPG clearances and deadlines and stuff but got no reply.
He's probably thought better of the whole deal.
Oh well - the WEB, yeah?
