This might have been added to my State of Art Criticism post I suppose, since the initial issue is more or less The Crisis in Contemporary Art - but it's interesting/amusing now more for Ben Davis' patronising and hysterical response to criticism of his 9.5 Theses on Art and Class by Greg Afinogenov on the obscure Idiom site, administered by Barry Hoggard and James Wagner. Wagner, better known for his useful art blog JamesWagner.com.

This is Afinogenov's review, a link at the bottom takes you to Ben's hissy fit. It's excessive length and insulting tone actually gauge just how damaging Afinogenov's points are. I give it to Greg as a TKO.

I liked gregs about the author which is the epitome of rarefied . Is it parody?
