From: sour grapes Category: Art Date: 03 February 2010 Time: 06:57 AM Review: The titles and the shows at King Saatchi get worse and worse. Frankly appalling paintings, dime a dozen sculptures, and an installation that looked like a lighting store getting creative. What's happened to the Saatchi Midas touch, there hasn't been one good show since he moved from St Johns Wood. Is trying to spread jam on too big a piece of toast, there's just not enough good contemporary art to fill these spaces. Or does he rely on eyecatching repetition too much? Whatever... it's not working, as he so memorably wrote of Labour in the bowels of history.
