What I want to know is where they think it'll get them, writing that stuff on their cv? Who do they think they are showing it to who is going to be impressed enough to recommend that Alison Jacques or Stuart Shave go and have a look at their studios? Pathetic. Another example I saw of this desperation recently was at the London Art Fair. This time it was the galleries who, when showing work normally leave a lot of space around, had really crammed them in in a brutal act of desperation, that favoured none of the art but highlighted how affordable the stuff should actually be. Pile 'em sell 'em... expensive? Uh?
