From: Rémi Category: Films Date: 19 January 2010 Time: 01:55 PM Review: Had a choice of seeing this or Avatar, but am meant to be seeing the latter in the Imax cinema, so chose Sherlock Holmes. Started off being rather twee, and I was worried that it would remain so. Fortunately, this disappeared and action took hold of the film, and the two main actors developed their own chemistry, which channelled the film's energy rather than the silly plot. For a while it all felt a bit like Harry Potter, but this premise was debunked just in time. Maybe that might happen in Harry Potter too?
