Many Berlin women do not wear much make up. 2.Squats, hostile and terriorial, proclaim "No Borders" at the same time as "No tourists" 3. There is a 'Non-smoker protection policy" which allows smokers to smoke in special rooms or areas - its surprising how shocking the sight is given that Britain banned smoking relatively recently. 4. Berghain - Long queue only to risk humiliation at the doors (if it isn't galling enough to watch the chosen waltz ahead of the queue), if you don't look right. Fantastic sound system, ice cream and coffee bar, muscled up men, and dancing all weekend. Didn't find the sex rooms... 5.Lots of shoe shops, more flat soled options for women. 6.Contemporary art museums with same policy as Tate Modern, large empty hall space with art exhibited like accessories out on limbs. 7.Nice curry wurst in Hamberg Bahnhof cafe (celebrity chef called Sarah) 8.Did not find decent Vietnamese food, did not find decent Turkish/Lebanese food... 9.
