From: some art reviews Category: Art Date: 29 November 2009 Time: 06:13 AM Review: Ed Ruscha is boring. He can't paint very well, his career shows a small progression to more carefully applied paint. He himself admits not much has changed. I saw someone go arent these mountains great, I'd really like to have one, yes like posters they can be pleasing, but they are meant to be anything much more than that, some comment on graphicness then they fail. Because they have no great interest in surface, or paint, each one looks like it has been stenicilled or projected on, and each one says the same thing in the same voice. He says he has been interested in the same stuff since he was 18, and he is right about that.
