From: E Category: Art Date: 27 October 2009 Time: 10:30 AM Review: That old chestnut! Yes, partly true, but the point I was making (maybe not clearly) is that there are artists today who have a totally hands off approach - they have the idea then farm the work out to assistants or studios like Mike Smith's which will fabricate whole projects for them. I'm not attacking one system or another, I just thought it was an interesting article and the comments seemed to suggest a lot of people are tired of the very highly produced slick work coming out of various studios. Also, from the point of view of the artist, a hands on approach may be more satisfying in the end.
