Just because you can't make pastry doesn't make you a bad restauranteur. He might stupidly think painting by hand is important and that he should do some, it doesn't mean that some of his previous work isnt great. Stupid people, or clever people with stupid thoughts sometimes make great art. it's brave of him to put a painting show on, it's easy for people to think they understand painting. Just because a great filmmaker is a lousy filmmaker doesnt mean he is a fraud. You get the idea.
