From: Category: Art Date: 05 August 2009 Time: 05:02 AM Review: THE FIFTH PLINTH - 24 HOURS ON OXFORD STREET, 9am Friday 7 to 9am Saturday The glass door of the former language academy at 145 Oxford Street - where The Oubliette Arthouse has set up an interim base - has never attracted much attention. A repossession notice, yellowed with age, and later, our squatters' legal warning, has been its only source of amusement for several years. We will rectify this gross injustice by hosting, in homage to Antony Gormley's 'One On One' on the fourth plinth, a 'Fifth Plinth', in which the glass door will be transformed into a shiny display case of urban humanity.ONE HOUR, ONE PERFORMANCE.
