From: Hot pants Category: Art Date: 29 June 2009 Time: 09:37 AM Review: The house of Joanquin Sorolla is a calming place to visit on a hot Madrid day. It offers respite from the art overload effect of other museums in Madrid. There is a little garden with a long pond and fountain, a tiled affair amongst shrubs. He is not a wonderful painter but the many portraits of his wife dotted around the house are quite touching. There are a few odd bits of majolica pottery, carpets, and also a Rodin sculpture. Worth a visit. http://museosorolla.mcu.es/index.html
