From: old movie reviews Category: Films Date: 27 June 2009 Time: 05:43 AM Review: The humour is a bit slow and mannered for us ADD sufferers, but the plot pulls you in, and there is a certain charm in the office as society (almost seems soviet when they have the party with dancing women on tables)portrayed in the film. The bit parts are peopled by Yiddish speaking types which is kind of weird, I wonder how this played to contemporary American audiences. Anyway Jack Lemmon is Jim Carrey, and the radiant Shirley Maclaine is Rene Zelwegger, except a lot better.
