From: Anonymous Category: Art Date: 16 June 2009 Time: 02:26 AM Review: The RCA show seemed to be very consumed by the "trendy" stripped back homage to a cool new minimalism. A lot of small works that played with if you blink you'll miss it. Walking from one work to the next I forgot who's work was who's. There was a lot seen if before and familiarity to many of the works from art magazines and dealer galleries. However there were some strong pieces by Daisy Addison. Her playful use of materials and confidence in her own distinct language. Sound work. Also Melissa Jordon's fun wax piece that broke through to the other side of the wall. The more I looked the more I enjoyed the ideas around the making. Her floor figuratives work seemed at the edge of something new, and not quite resolved yet.
