Ghenie, from Romania, does paintings which look like he has combined a projector, francis bacon,
and the big book of the 2nd world war. They must sell because they are being exhibited in the
cavernous (empty?) HOV. His paintings seem to be all work and no fun, and could be by any gifted
art student of the last 15 years. Where is the love?

The only good thing in the HOV was some clay and straw monkeys and tv sets and frogs on the
stairs. They were funny.
