From: ars Category: Art Date: 03 June 2009 Time: 06:24 AM Review: prizes corrupt . Art cannot be judged like this and nepotism usually comes into it. Big prizes tend to help artists who dont need help. Small prizes are trivial tawdry and usually rubbish art. Threadneedle is reactionary like all figurative prizes. It is plainly stupid to have a prize for paintings with figures in them . Whats the point? To say that paintings with figures are better than those without? A load of nonsense.
