From: A Painter. Category: Art Date: 15 May 2009 Time: 04:47 AM Review: It seems to me that painting, these days is really very retrogressive. In order to explain this I'm wondering if contemporary painters are looking to pick up painting from where it left off, pre Malevich/Duchamp, and are intending to try and take it on now from that point in European painting. I then wonder how possible it is to gloss over 80 years of painting from a historical point of view. Probably quite easy I suppose.
