From: magic Category: Art Date: 14 April 2009 Time: 05:48 AM Review: Sexton and Lacloche have crafted some extraordinary things, including a levitating head of john the baptist, jumbo leaves with photos on them, and socrates' head made out of a meteorite. Incongruously this is all presented in a warehouse in redchurch street. Any one of these pieces alone might be more impactful alone but also more interesting than most of the stuff at the expensively refurbished but vacuous whitechapel. Meeting sexton himself, often lurking in the vicinity of redchurch, you will feel struck by the force of a conversational meteorite, and giddy with the incredible enthusiasm he brings to his art. Perhaps he should be exhibited in a cage at the tate.
