From: Rémi Category: Films Date: 23 February 2009 Time: 04:40 AM Review: Title is from a Shakespeare sonnet, but action is early days of the Beatles when Brian Epstein and John Lennon go on a weekend holiday to Barcelona to recuperate from the gathering Beatlemania. Only made on a 16mm with shoestring budget, unheard actors etc. etc. Could have been a theatre piece but works well with sparsely clad rooms and décor, and actors that add their little magic to the plot. Crux of the movie is a putative love scene between the first and fifth Beatle; did they, didn't they? Probably not, but makes for enjoyable and whistful entertainment. Just before the end of the film, they sit on a bench on the Rambla promising to return ten years later. Imagine.
