From: fat bum Category: Art Date: 07 October 2008 Time: 10:28 AM Review: this is the one gilbert and george are always in. they were there. it is somewhat more expensive than the others perhaps they have driven up prices. it was full and jolly on a monday night. the differences between it and others are small (like chinatown chineses) but significant, and mangal arcola street is a lot better, as is the one a few doors away from mangal 2. things like salad, the way it is seasoned or dressed, the variety (rocket good), the bread, the roasted onion salad you do or dont get, the mousakka which either tastes old and abandoned or unctuous and fresher, the price here are over £10 a main, at others closer to £7. I cant see why mangal 2 is so popular, perhaps it is popular because it is popular and therefore more expensive, which doesnt seem right.
