Runa Islam at White Cube

Review:

Really this surprised me, it was really good, perhaps I was dehydrated but this was the best show at 
hoxton white cube for ages. First you go into the dark and that is always disturbing, then you watch a 
film which seems to be about art, cinema, and architecture all being the same in a good way, and you 
sit on funny rolls of paper stools and are surrounded by strips of film and the noise is of film too. Not 
sure what I was watching at first, disoriented but not bored. Upstairs is a bird which is ok, sort of 
beguiling but less depth. The whole thing is like being zapped by cinema in one strong espresso 
shot.
