Macandcheeseinerney himself is a sort of tragic fitzgerald/hemingway short story combo, and he tries to write like them too. Yet all nastiness besides, he tells stories that you want to know how they end. Odd that the minute they are over, they are forgotten, and you could pick this up a week later and not be sure whether you had read it.
