From: art news Category: Art Date: 05 September 2008 Time: 08:23 PM Review: http://entertainment.timesonline.co.uk/tol/arts_and_entertainment/visual_arts/article4678259.ece http://www.guardian.co.uk/commentisfree/2008/sep/06/damienhirst.art I read in the london paper that Damien Hirst's own auction of his own work at Sotheby's was democratic. I can't find the quote online really. But the absurd notion that the rich being able to buy stuff is the defintion of democracy, is both true and wrong.
