From: J Category: TV Date: 13 June 2008 Time: 06:13 AM Review: On the sofa lying down and on comes this channel 5 telly film. A nice young chap with low intelligence is working as a baker and then is turned into a genius by experimental therapy. Now I've done some research and apparently it's based on a popular book and there was an oscar winning film of it called charly. I only caught a bit but it was definitely gripping stuff. However now I feel my innocence shattered with the realisation that there is so much more to know flowers for algernon, it's better to be a happy fool on the sofa, than a dissatisfied socrates on google.
