From: Peter Slater Category: Books Date: 10 June 2008 Time: 04:50 AM Review: He did that in 1952, then he went there on thursday, then he died. Biographies are soooooo boring. The problem is they become really fat and eat too many facts. Then they forget to tell us what the subject is thinking or why they did what they did. Like when Matisse gets a divorce from his life partner and greatest supporter, there is hardly a comment, unless I was skimming to fast. Matisse was very interesting, this book is much less so.
