Despite having seen 'Raiders of the Lost Ark' a few many times, I decided to watch it again. Hasn't aged much. The special effects still had me startled. Forgot how graphically violent the film was, I guess it tapped into the violent era of films that was just going mainstream. Can't believe that I watched this as a child. The plot is as preposterous as Blackadder, and like Edmund's tales, the plot seems to just serve as a basis to get Indy moving around the world doing artsy things. No different than an action film , I guess but somewhat fancied up and brimming with strange thingies. Nothwithstanding, I thought it was rollicking good fun, and the tune now has me jumping up and down like Pavlov's monkey.
