http://chess.com

Excellent website, clearly made by nerdy people who care about web functionality. Lots of good
content, 'chess mentor' and 'tactics trainer', 'chess problem of the day' etc. As a free member you
can still play with other nerds the world over, looks like very little you're missing out on really.
Also very nice is that you get a greeter game with a 'volunteer' of high ranking. It's an unrated
game and you will be beaten but nice that someone is playing every new member. It's excellent being
able to go through famous chess games by clicking the forwards button, rather than needing to spend
an hour following the moves in a book. The only weird and disappointing thing I've discovered is
that there's separate mens' and womens' chess tournaments out there in the world. I never knew that.
It doesn't make sense. Apparently the top ranking female players boycott them, if I was a contender
I'd not contend either.
