From: for cop Category: Art Date: 21 April 2008 Time: 06:10 AM Review: Whoever hangs the shows here has the eye. There is a little Malevich beautifully hung high under the arch like an altar piece. Not the fabulous abstract painting show one was hoping for. Too many mitteleuropean painters of no great brilliance and not enough big americans showing their big paintings which absorb you into their universe of swirl. Richters ugly abstract painting squeegee peeezy is so revolting as to turn the corner and reach beauty again. There are many works where you think, oh who's that is it pollock or kline or rothko and then find out is someone you dont know the name of. Insular angloism I suspect, out there there are many fair abstacters. Leaves one basically unmoved though. http://www.bankaustria-kunstforum.at/en/exhibitions/current
