He's effectively been muzzled for the duration of the campaign so he can't make any of his trademark stupid, offensive remarks. Once unleashed, Rawnsley alleges, he could do untold damage to (realistic) Tory hopes for general election victory. Interesting one. I tend to feel he'll just be stage managed forever.
