Same thing happens with reading essays on the New Left. I think aha, here's something good, this will help me decide how the world can be made better, and then I get tired and switch to reading a novel. I think intellectuals have to learn how to communicate shorter sharper and more entertainingly and not just expect people to be cleverer/ better educated. Zizek says some stuff that sounds interesting, but I have no concentration span to unpick his paradoxes. Just tell me the answers!
