Review:

Great film this. Why can't we see more brilliant movies like this at the cinema.  Based on Ripley's 
game it has some of the weird moral atmosphere of the book, amoral perhaps, but is nothing like the 
rather blonde ripley film of recent times.

You are exhilarated by films like this, and stumble out into the light bemoaning the tragedy of the fall of 
cinema from its 70s peak.
