Review:

10 out of 100 stories from just before the Renaissance. Almost every story’s theme here was related 
to sex and how closely intertwined it was to people’s lives. Was strange to see sex so naturally 
portrayed, having grown accustomed to its artifice. The penalties were certainly high for illicit sex: 
death if you were poor, immediate marriage if you were rich. The décor, and the mood creation were 
splendidly done, not least the stiff, pink dresses some characters wore. Shame the mafia killed 
Pasolini, he could have done a lot more of these. Still, we have the Sopranos
